Who We Are

Woodbridge Quay Church was formed when Quay United Reformed Church merged with Beaumont Baptist Church. We are members of the Baptist Union of Great Britain, and the Evangelical Alliance.

We meet for contemporary worship every Sunday morning at 10:30am. You can learn about what to expect at our services and see a list of sermon titles on our Services page.

Our Co-Ministers

One of our ministers is Rev. Mark Hardingham BD(Hons). Mark is married to Janet and they have two adult children, Chaz and Katie. Mark trained at Spurgeon's College, London. Prior to that he worked for one of the UK's leading banks. Mark has been our minister since 2005.


We have House Groups for sharing fellowship with a few others in a comfortable situation. There are both daytime and evening groups. Our Parent and Toddler group is called Skipper's Nippers and meets weekly in term-time. Men's and Ladies' groups meet for breakfasts and, occasionally, other events. Our Co-Ministers

Our other minister is Rev. Doug Waller. Doug is married to Charlie and they have two young children, Rosie, 3, and Bethany who is 1. Doug trained at Spurgeon's College, London. Prior to that he worked as a teacher of Religious Studies and Philosophy in a secondary school. Doug became our minister in Sept 2016.

News and Events

Coffee @ Quay

The church will be open for all to drop in for coffee and cake on Saturday 22nd July between 10:00am and 12:00noon. Meet friends, have a chat, enjoy the atmosphere. There will be toys for the little ones.

Church open for prayer

The church will be open for prayer and quiet reflection between 10 and 12 every Friday morning during the months of June, July and August. Each week there will be suggestions and topics for prayer. You are invited to come and use this space to talk with God and receive from Him. If you would like someone to pray with you, members of the prayer team will be available.

Prayer and Praise Evening

All are welcome to join us on Wednesday 26th July to praise the Lord. We meet in the Sanctuary for coffee at 7:30 with worship beginning at 8:00pm.

Men's Breakfast

The next Men's Breakfast will be on Sat 29th July. The guest speakers are from Tough Talk which is made up of a group of men with backgrounds of ex-bouncers and ex-East End hard men who have turned their backs on their past. At the Coach and Horses at 8:30am. Book up now.
